The sheer variety of the historic buildings and the staggeringly beautiful scenery has established Sintra as a must-see tourist destination, and it’s no surprise that it’s the most popular day trip from Lisbon.

Our guide meets you at your hotel, from where you will take private transport to Sintra.

We will visit the Palácio da Pena, then the exterior of the Palácio Nacional, before moving on to a brief walking tour of Sintra.

Our tour then takes us to Cascais, the finest resort town on the Lisbon coastline.

The village is set along a beautiful coastline of sandy beaches and rocky headlands, while the town itself boasts grand mansions, fascinating museums, and attractive parks.

In Cascais we will enjoy lunch in a well-known restaurant, sampling a variety of typical Portuguese dishes.

The afternoon sees us touring the Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the European continent.

It presents an impressive landscape of vertiginous cliffs hanging over a perpetually raging sea.

Along the way we will pay a visit to the impressive Boca do Inferno, a natural cave carved into the cliff face by vigorous ocean waves.

After a day of unforgettable marvels, both manmade and natural, we will take our private transport from the Cabo de Roca back to Lisbon.
