To celebrate the upcoming bicentennial of the Prado Museum in 2019, the institution has inaugurated an exhibition about this art gallery’s long history.

Founded by Queen Isabel de Braganza in 1819 as a repository of the Spanish Royal Collections, the museum has never stopped expanding.

Over time, it has started to pursue more ambitious cultural objectives, and is nowadays universally considered to be the most iconic showcase for Spanish painting throughout the centuries.

The exhibition presents a few high-quality works of the great Spanish painters: Velazquez, El Greco, Zurbarán, Murillo, Picasso, Miró and Gris.

Take the opportunity of this magnificent expo to enjoy an outstanding selection of the all-time great Spanish masters.
